As a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BigStar Chess Club, Kavin Saravanan draws on over a decade of experience playing chess, beginning at the age of five. Kavin’s passion for the game lies in its strategic complexities, and his many victories have honed his ability to share his knowledge with young players eager to improve their skills. With a strong aptitude for teaching and an exceptional work ethic, Kavin is adept at guiding students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

In addition to his expertise as a player and teacher, Kavin is an officially certified Tournament Director by the US Chess Federation, and has overseen both virtual and in-person competitions. He has a particular talent for teaching younger children in a way that makes the game easy to understand and tactics easy to grasp.
